Bill splitting for groups
Erana
Split bills with friends without the awkward maths.
Erana is a bill-splitting app for groups of friends, flatmates and travellers. It is built in Sweden and comes to iPhone first, for Sweden and Estonia.
The idea
Shared costs are easy to lose track of. Erana keeps one clear record for the group, so everyone sees the same balance and settling up takes as few payments as possible.
- Split a bill in the way that fits: equally, by amounts, by percentages or item by item.
- One balance for the whole group, the same for everyone.
- Pay in the way you like, and record it in Erana.
What makes Erana different
- Your own money and shared money, side by side. See what you really spend in a month, not only what you owe. The private side stays private.
- Made for Sweden and Estonia. English, Swedish and Estonian, kronor and euro, and your data stored in the EU.
- No ads, and your data is yours. Nothing is sold, and you can export everything stored about you.
Why I am building it
I am building Erana to make my own life easier. Every app I tried was missing something, so I want everything in one app: my own income and spending, costs shared with friends, and settling up, with as little typing as possible.
Your data
Your data is stored in the EU and is not sold. Erana asks for your contacts only if you choose to find friends. Anything smart in the app is optional and asks for your agreement first.
Where it stands
Erana is still in development. An early test version for a small group in Sweden and Estonia is planned before the public launch.
